Aquatight uses the term interior drain tile system to describe the drainage system installed inside the basement to collect and redirect water. This system is often connected to a sump pump so water can be moved away from the home.

Interior drain tile is typically installed around the inside perimeter of the basement where water is entering or pressure is building beneath the floor. The system helps collect water before it spreads across the basement, damages finished materials, or creates ongoing moisture problems.

A sump pump helps collect water from the drainage system and move it away from the basement. In many homes, the interior drain tile system is normally connected to a sump pump so groundwater, heavy rain, and snowmelt can be managed more effectively.

Aquatight installs new sump pump systems and replaces existing sump pumps when they are old, undersized, damaged, or no longer keeping up with water volume.

This is especially important during storms, spring thaw, or periods of heavy rain when basements are already at higher risk.
