A working technique in mitigating basement water. The internal waterproofing system is used because the area is not accessible from the exterior foundation wall. If the budget isn't available for waterproofing the exterior foundation wall, this is a cost-effective solution for an unfinished living area.
Managing ground water. Just let it flow, that's our mantra at Aquatight Basements. We place a 4inch drain tile below the floor grade This stops water levels reaching the floor subsurface and it increases the drainage rate at which the water flows away from your house. This also helps keep the under floor soil dry and therefore reducing hydrostatic pressure. (Hydrostaic pressure is natures way of forcing water through solids like concrete). Our 4 inch drain tile is fitted 4 to 6 inches lower than the floor.
A drain tile that's is made of a heavy-duty, geotextile fabric. It is fusion bonded to a rugged polyethylene lattice for extra strength and keeps the fabric firmly attached and is an engineered polypropylene filter fabric provides a superior, clog-resistant, filtering system.
Comes with a Lifetime Warranty. These panels sit on top of the footing and guide any water to the Aquatight Drainage system.
